Ghost Story
Don't leave the curtains open |
I was completely exhausted due to the club activities at my school, so I went home, quickly ate the dinner and finished the bath.
I went to my room and quickly collapsed on the bed. The drowsiness fell upon me and I fell asleep without closing the curtains.
Sleeping without closing the curtains was the mistake I was going to regret.
Even though I was tired, my eyes opened up on their own at midnight.
The room was eerily silent at that hour. I realized that I had left the curtains open, so I decided to get up and close them.
But I realized this uncomfortable feeling... I couldn't move my body.
"Sleep paralysis?", I thought, and tried desperately to move myself. But my every attempt was in vain.
On the top of not able to move my body, I sensed that I was being watched by someone.
I looked toward the window and sensed that the feeling of being watched was coming from that direction.
I was creeped out at this point, so I decided to avert my gaze from the window. But now matter how hard I tried, I always ended up looking at the window.
And then, I saw something that was outside the window. It was a human head.
But I lived on the second floor, so how could this be possible?
I tried more desperately to look into the other direction, but it was all futile.
That head had seen me. Its forehead was ripped, hair disordered, and was oozing out blood like a soldier in a war.
At that moment, I lost consciousness. When I woke up, it was already morning.
Since then, I always close the curtains before going to bed.

I know the feeling of sleep paralysis. I also aware of the existency of lucid dream. Still not sure the sleep paralysis is only a phase (aka our imagination) before lucid dream or a real thing where we could see/ feel ghostly presence. Good story though! I also have windows without curtains in my room.
ReplyDeleteI've read many stories where people experience creepy things during sleep paralysis. Though, I've never experienced sleep paralysis myself. But I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with paranormal, only a state where out brain is awake but body is asleep.
DeleteSafety and "spookiness" aside, don't you feel a lack of privacy without curtains? :S
ReplyDeleteYou might not believe it but there are a lot of people who do such a thing.
